“Catriona” hit-maker Matthaios felt honored now that he has joined the roster of Asintada Management and Productions Inc., which is home of well-known OPM rappers Gloc-9, Flow G, Shanti Dope, Skusta Clee, Smugglaz and more.
“Mas napupush ako kasi yung mga kasama ko dito ay hindi lang basta-basta. So, gusto ko rin syempreng mag-level up. Yun ‘yong nakaka-motivate,” the rapper said in an interview.
According to Matthaios, Asintada’s hands-on and professional approach to its artists is what made him decide to sign with the management label. “May personal connection kami pero when it comes to work, it’s really work. And after nung work, doon na lumalabas yung pagiging family at pagiging friends naming. Kaya para sa’kin nasa right path po ako.”
He also added that few of the things to watch out for now that he is under new management is the collaborations with other Asintada artists and international shows. “One of the goals din is yung solo concert. Kahit hindi malaking venue pero gusto kong mag solo concert.”
Matthaios also talked about his powerful new track, "Tayo Sana," featuring the soulful voice of Yow. The rapper admitted that his latest single, which he personally wrote, is based on his own particular experience. The song dives deep into the emotions of longing and nostalgia, resonating with anyone who has ever hoped for a second chance in a relationship.
Listeners will be drawn in by Matthaios's heartfelt delivery and Yow's tender verses, creating a beautiful harmony that speaks to the heart. With themes of hope, love, and the bittersweet nature of relationships, the song is sure to leave a lasting impact.
On working with Yow; “Very easy kasi friends kami. Marami akong collaborations with friends and sobrang gaan ng pakiramdam kapag gumagawa kayo ng song. Walang pressure na dapat ganito yung gawin ko or baka laitin niya yung gawa ko. Magsasabi kami ng criticisms pero hindi nakakapressure, nakakatawa pa nga minsan, pero babaguhin mo.”
Matthios excitedly share the concept of the soon-to-release music video of “Tayo Sana,” which will be directed by Yow. “Para siyang open-ended. Ako personally, hindi ko rin alam yung meaning nung music video. Ang mag-iinterpret ay yung mga manonood talaga.”
