Actor Xian Lim has shed some light on his split with longtime girlfriend Kim Chiu, revealing that he was not the one who called it quits on their 12-year relationship.
Lim made the revelation during an interview on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on Wednesday, June 12.
While confirming they remain friends, he admitted they haven't spoken since the breakup out of respect for each other's space.
"Of course," Lim said when asked if they're still on friendly terms. "To be completely honest, ever since we went our separate ways, hindi pa po kami nakakapag-usap."
Addressing the rumors surrounding the breakup, Lim clarified, "To be completely honest, I wasn’t the one who engaged in the separation. Yun lang po siya. It’s that simple. I wasn’t the one who initiated the breakup.”
Lim refrained from elaborating further but acknowledged the public's mixed emotions and that their fans felt betrayed.
The split was confirmed in December 2023 after rumors circulated for months. Both Lim and Chiu have requested privacy after the announcement.
Earlier this year, Lim was spotted with film producer Iris Lee, sparking speculations of a new romance. However, the actor clarified they only started dating after his separation with Chiu.
