Xian Lim opened up about the aftermath of his split with Kim Chiu, revealing the emotional toll and online harassment he's been facing.
In a recent interview with GMA Showbiz Reporter Nelson Canlas on Friday, June 6, Xian expressed his hurt over online rumors and death threats directed at him and his family.
“I do not deserve the false accusations. Sige, ako na ‘yung tirahin but not my family. Nadadamay na ‘yung nanay ko, ‘yung lola ko. Umabot sa ganoon, that’s the gravity of the situation I’m dealing with now,” he said.
Xian added that he is well aware of what’s going on on the internet. He emphasized that he’s trying not to speak up about their breakup but it does not sit right with him to stay silent and let lies about him spread.
“I know the supporters that we built for the past 12 years, we became part of their lives. So I know that they’re hurting because naghiwalay kami.” Xian also mentioned that they are just any other relationship.
“It is sad – very painful, but life goes on,” he added.
The actor also emphasized that he and Kim ended on good terms and that he remains open to working with her again in the future.
“In time, ‘pag nabigyan kami ng pagkakataong magtrabaho, why not?” he said.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu, who has largely avoided discussing the split with the media, offered a brief statement to ABS-CBN News. She expressed a desire for privacy, saying “It ended, the journey was beautiful. Ayaw ko nang maging masama ‘yung loob ko.”
“Parang ‘yung post ko nung December sabi ko, this will be the last time na pag-uusapan ko ito,” Kim added. “Pero parang ang dami pa rin. Parang hindi naman siya mapag-uusapan kung no one’s lighting the fire.”
Xian has recently entered a new relationship with film producer Iris Lee. He has confirmed they are not yet married or living together, and that the relationship began after his separation from Kim.
